Turnitin Originality Checker compares student submissions in a dropbox against databases and textbooks to help instructors identify whether a student has broken the Academic Honesty Policy at Greenville.

1. Go to "Course Materials" on the navigation bar.

2. Select "Dropbox".

3. Select "New Folder"

4. After naming the folder, click on the Turnitin tab to set originality check preferences for your assignment's drop box.

5. (Optional) Add other properties and associations (grade item, etc) to the dropbox properties.

6. Save and Close.

**D2L has upgraded the integration for Turnitin, so you may see the option to turn on the originality checker on the Properties tab instead of seeing a Turnitin tab.

Once you check the box to enable it, scroll to the bottom of the Properties options to see the OriginalityCheck Options. If you click the arrow to expand the Advanced Originality Checking Options.
