Campus Safety has security officers that patrol the campus 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. These officers look for suspicious or criminal activity and violations of campus policies, lock and unlock campus facilities, respond to requests for assistance, distribute Student/Staff IDs, aid in the EDAC access management system, manage surveillance system video requests, manage a fleet of 15 vehicles, and report incidents and activity to the necessary office, department or organization.
Student workers assist professional security officers with campus patrols from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and at other times at the discretion of the Director of Campus Safety. Students report suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
