The Institutional Review Board (IRB) established by Greenville University serves to assure that research on human subjects is planned and carried out in accordance with certain ethical principles and federal regulations.  All Greenville University faculty, students, and employees conducting research projects that fall under the auspices of any department within the college, and which involve human subjects must submit their research protocol to the IRB for review and approval prior to commencing the project.  Greenville University recognizes and accepts the responsibility to protect the rights and human welfare of research participants, and has developed these policies in accordance with the Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects.
