Include in your email:

1. What is the purpose of your mailing?

(i.e. invitation to an event, request for information, sharing updates, etc.   NOTE: If your mailing will include an appeal for funds from recipients, STOP -- please complete an "External Funding Request Form" so the Office of Development can better serve you and the campus community with assistance and timing of appeals.)


2.  What are the parameters of your mailing list needs?

(i.e. alumni of certain majors, from certain years, with certain team or program participation; donors from prior years to your program; alumni in a certain geographical area)


3.  What data do you need for your mailing list?

(i.e. addressee, salutation, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, donor recognition level)


4.  Are you writing your own letter, or do you need the Office of Development to assist? 

NOTE: all letters should be approved through the Office of Development before they are mailed for institutional consistency and accuracy.

Please attach a draft letter and/or mailing list if one is already in progress.
