In this article you are going to learn how to use Dropbox to leave comments on files. You should have an email or other form of communication from Marketing with a Dropbox link in it. Click the link, and you should arrive at the file that you want to comment on. Once you’re there, you should see something like this:

See where it says “Write a comment” on the right side? You’re going to click there. If you’d like to leave a general comment for the whole piece, then that’s great! Just type your comment and hit enter. However, if you’d like to comment on one specific point of the piece, there’s a button for that too! Say you’d like to have some text changed in your .pdf file – or, in this case, that you’d like a specific part of the photo to be edited.

There’s a few buttons at the end of where you’re currently typing your comment – hover over the first one. It should say “Comment on specific areas” like this:

Click that and bring your mouse back over to your file. You can now click and drag over any part of the file that you’d like! Create a box around the point that you’d like to comment on, type your comment, and then press “Post.” If you’d like to redraw your comment area, just hit cancel and redo it.
