Students can request a room or roommate change by consulting a Residence Life staff member. All room changes require the approval of the AC over the student’s area and the Housing Coordinator. In cases of roommate conflict, the students must first attempt to resolve the conflict by working with their RA or Residence Life staff member, with the exception that they require immediate housing changes for the safety of those involved.
Note: Students should reference their roommate agreement, accessible through their RA, before requesting to change rooms.

AC(s) and Housing Coordinator consults available housing spots and AC and GAs to determine if a room change is permitted and possible, and if so, what options are available
AC(s) or Housing Coordinator communicate housing change to students impacted
Housing Coordinator changes student in Jenzabar and occupancy report
Housing Coordinator arranges for student to pick up new key and return old key
Housing Coordinator communicates with Student Accounts if change impacts student bill
Housing Coordinator informs Campus Safety to provide holiday access for the days when the student will be moving (if student is moving buildings)
New and old ResLife staff coordinate with student to conduct check-outs and check-ins
